In the journey to bring Cantera Montessori to life, we have transformed what was an empty building into a warm, safe environment for young children. From top-to-bottom, our Montessori leaders have meticulously redesigned the space to create a place that feels like home. Whether it’s the fireplace that has been turned into a bookshelf or that corner that needed a little something extra, we are so pleased with how we’ve created a space where your child can thrive in their learning experiences.
Developmentally appropriate furniture has been specifically organized around each room to encourage your child’s development and independence while exploring the world around them. In each room, you will find child-sized tables and chairs instead of high chairs, low, accessible toys and climbers, and many real-life items; all promoting independence in a clean, safe environment.
The neutral colors found throughout the building provide a calm, peaceful atmosphere. Paired with soft, plush rugs, chairs, and pillows, your child will be comfortable and ready to explore a stimulating environment.
The outside area has been transformed into a wide open space a young child could only dream of. Completely gated for safety, your child can investigate nature while developing social, fine, and gross motor skills. Our outdoor playground is designed for ages 2 to 5 with many areas to climb, crawl, run, and explore.
