• All Things Food! From Infancy Through Toddlerhood: Parent Education Night at Cantera

On October 16th, from 5–6 PM, Cantera Montessori School will welcome Nido and Pre Primary families for a special Parent Education Night focused on food and mealtimes in the early years.

This evening, All Things Food!, is designed to help parents better understand how children experience food from infancy through toddlerhood. Whether you are just introducing solid foods or navigating picky eating, you’ll come away with practical tools and encouragement.

    Meet Our Guest Experts

We’re partnering with Maggie and Laura from Nest Infant Support. As Speech Therapists who also specialize in Food Therapy, they bring unique insight into how children learn to eat and communicate around mealtime.

    Topics We’ll Explore Together
    • How babies and toddlers build skills for eating and self-feeding
    • Common challenges and ways to respond with confidence
    • Gentle approaches to introducing new foods
    • Tips for creating calm, positive mealtime routines at home
    Why It Matters

Mealtimes can be one of the most joyful, and sometimes stressful, parts of parenting. Understanding the developmental side of eating can help reduce pressure, increase confidence, and keep meals enjoyable for the whole family.
