At the heart of the Montessori approach is the understanding that children are naturally curious about what it means to be human. From the youngest ages, they observe, absorb, and delight in the cultural patterns around them; whether it’s the way people greet each other, the foods they prepare, or the music that fills their homes. In the Sage Teacher Education Program, our Montessori Cultural Studies training helps educators prepare thoughtful, engaging lessons that introduce children to the breadth and beauty of human life. On September 19th, our Kindergarteners visited San Jose Fire Station 16 for a memorable field trip focused on community helpers. This experience connected directly to their classroom studies while giving them an up-close look at the important role firefighters play in keeping our community safe. Welcomed by Firefighter Antonio and the B Crew of Station 16, our students learned about daily responsibilities, fire safety practices, and the essential equipment firefighters use. The children explored the fire engine, tried on firefighter gear, and listened to stories about real emergencies. One of the most

A Journey Beyond the Classroom At MSOSV, we believe in helping children build a sense of community from an early age. Each month, our kindergarteners visit a different community site tied to curricular themes, from cultural arts and local businesses to civic services and nature spaces. Field trips are planned intentionally to integrate with classroom studies, be developmentally appropriate, and allow reflect discussion points. Recently, our Kindergarten class from our Cantera campus visited the Georgetown Police Department for an exciting day of discovery. Our teaching team will guide you through each area of the classroom and answer your questions along the way. This is more than a tour, it’s an opportunity

Every August 31st, Montessori schools around the world celebrate the birthday of Maria Montessori (1870–1952), a visionary whose work forever changed how we see children and education. At Montessori School of Silicon Valley, her influence is not just a piece of history but rather it shapes every classroom, every work cycle, and every child’s learning journey. Who Was Maria Montessori? Born in 1870 in Italy, Maria Montessori was a trailblazer. At a time when women rarely entered higher education, she became one of the country’s first female physicians. As summer winds down and we gear up for a new school year, we’re reflecting with gratitude and joy on the incredible memories made at the Morgan Hill Friday Night Music Series. What a season it’s been! From June 13 through August 22, families from across the community gathered every Friday evening at the Morgan Hill Downtown Amphitheater to enjoy live music, local food, and a festive, family-friendly atmosphere. The series brought together neighbors, friends, and visitors for nights filled with laughter, dancing, and connection under the stars. Peak Ave Montessori: A

At Cabrillo Montessori, we believe in building strong connections not just within our classrooms but throughout our community. We are always looking for ways to participate in local events and lend our support to causes that make a difference. This year, we were thrilled to join the Santa Clara Rotary Parade of Champions Auction by donating a one-of-a-kind “Going to Grandma’s” basket. This collection was designed to delight children and inspire meaningful moments with loved ones. Going to Grandma’s Basket – A Gift of Learning and Joy Get ready to spark imaginations and
