California Campuses Kindergarten Field Trip to Emma Prusch Farm Park

Our Kindergarten students from Cabrillo, Crescent, and Peak Ave Montessori enjoyed a wonderful day at Emma Prusch Farm Park.

This special field trip gave our students the opportunity to experience learning beyond the classroom walls. At Emma Prusch Farm Park, children explored wide open spaces, observed farm animals up close, and connected with nature in meaningful ways.

Throughout the day, our Kindergarteners observed and learned about farm animals, explored garden spaces while discussing how fruits and vegetables grow, and walked through orchard areas where they talked about plant life cycles. They also enjoyed meaningful time outdoors and a picnic lunch together, strengthening their sense of class community.

Experiences like this bring Montessori learning to life. In the classroom, our students study biology, ecosystems, and responsibility for living things. At the farm, they were able to see those concepts in action. They practiced caring for and respecting animals, sharpening their observation and critical thinking skills, asking thoughtful questions, and connecting what they learn in the classroom to the world around them.

Field trips support independence, curiosity, and confidence. Our Kindergarten students showed responsibility, kindness, and excitement throughout the day.

We are proud of how they represented their MSOSV campus communities and how they embraced this hands-on learning experience.

Moments like these are part of what makes our Kindergarten program special. Learning is active, engaging, and rooted in real-world discovery.
