Celebrating Valentine’s Day at MSOSV
Our children enjoyed a special Valentine’s Day celebration during the school day across our campuses. The morning began with a Valentine-themed circle time designed just for the children. This shared experience supported listening, community, and connection as children gathered together to mark the day in a simple and meaningful way. Children had created their own Valentine bags earlier in the week and on Friday participated in a Valentine exchange with their classmates. These activities encouraged creativity, fine motor skills, and kindness as children shared valentines with one another. Celebrations like this are thoughtfully
Re-Enrollment Details for the Upcoming School Year
Re-enrollment plays an important role in preparing for the upcoming school year at Montessori School of Silicon Valley. Beginning February 2, 2026, our families will have a one-week re-enrollment window to confirm their child’s placement. This process supports intentional classroom preparation and allows our teaching teams to plan learning environments with care. Re-enrollment is the simplest way to lock in your child’s spot for next school year and keep their school experience steady with familiar relationships, consistent routines, and continued learning. Completing it during the designated window helps you stay on track

Peak Ave Campus Refresh and Play Yard Updates
We are excited to share several recent updates at our Peak Ave campus that support safe, comfortable, and engaging outdoor play for our children. The exterior of the building has been refreshed with updated paint. This work gives the campus a clean, welcoming look and reflects the care our teaching team puts into every part of the child’s environment. In the play yard, new bark has been added to the playground area. This creates a softer surface for active movement, climbing, and exploration while supporting safety during outdoor work and play. A

Spreading Joy: Peak Ave Montessori’s First Holiday Toy Drive
This December, Peak Ave Montessori proudly participated in the Toys 4 Our Own Toy Drive, supporting the Edward Boss Prado Foundation’s mission to bring holiday cheer to children in local Morgan Hill schools. From December 1st–19th, families donated brand new, unwrapped toys for children aged 5–13, filling our school with the spirit of giving. It was a heartwarming display of generosity and compassion, and we couldn’t be more grateful to our Sunflower Families for their enthusiastic support. Each toy represented more than a gift; it represented love, thoughtfulness, and the values we
Supporting Your Child’s Routine During the Holidays
Happy holidays! As we head into this joyful (and sometimes very exciting!) break, we wanted to share a few simple ideas that make an enormous difference in helping our young children feel calm, regulated, and ready to learn when we all come back together in January. The holiday season often means later bedtimes, more screens, visitors, and changes in routine; all of which are fun but can make little bodies and brains feel a bit “wobbly” when school starts again. Even small steps toward these habits over the next few weeks help

Kindergarteners Explore and Learn at the Children’s Discovery Museum
Our Kindergarteners from the Cabrillo, Crescent, and Peak Ave campuses had an exciting adventure on December 5th. They spent the day at the Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose, a place filled with hands-on exhibits that encourage curiosity and creativity. The children explored interactive displays, experimented with science and art activities, and learned through play. Guided by our teachers, they had the chance to ask questions, solve problems, and discover new ideas while working together. This field trip was a wonderful opportunity for our students to see how learning happens everywhere. We
Thanksgiving at MSOSV: A Feast of Community
At Montessori School of Silicon Valley, the Thanksgiving Feast is a time to come together as a classroom and school community. On November 20th, the children will gather for a meal made possible by the generous ingredient donations of families. This event highlights the Montessori spirit of gratitude and community. Each class makes a dish to share with the other classroom communities, while children add their own touch by creating keepsake placemats that make the meal even more meaningful. Families can look forward to bringing these placemats home to use during
