Our Kindergarten students spent a wonderful day at Ardenwood Historic Farm on November 6th. This special field trip gave them the chance to step back in time and see what life was like on a working farm.
The children explored wide open fields, met farm animals, and learned about traditional farming practices. They watched demonstrations, asked questions, and connected classroom lessons about history and nature to real-world experiences.
This outing reflected the Montessori approach of hands-on discovery. Our teaching team encouraged children to notice details, share observations, and reflect on what they saw. Just as in the classroom, they followed their curiosity, made connections, and built understanding through direct experiences.
Trips like this extend Montessori learning beyond the classroom while also bringing the real world back into future lessons. The children return inspired, with new knowledge and stories to share that enrich discussions, projects, and explorations at school.
We are grateful to our families for supporting these experiences that spark lifelong learning and joyful discovery.
