Cantera Montessori Kindergarten Field Trip to Matter of Taste Florist
On March 12th, our Kindergarten students from Cantera Montessori School visited Matter of Taste Florist as part of their botany studies.
Inside the flower shop, students observed a wide variety of flowers from all over the world and took a closer look at petals, stems, and leaves. They saw how flowers are cared for and arranged, connecting their classroom learning to a real community business. They even made their own bouquets to keep!
This experience supported their understanding of botany and plant structure while strengthening practical life skills. It also encouraged creativity and design thinking and deepened their connection to the local community.
Most importantly, our students experienced how their learning extends beyond the classroom. They saw how knowledge, creativity, and entrepreneurship come together in meaningful ways.
We are grateful to Matter of Taste Florist for welcoming our Kindergarteners and helping bring their studies to life.
