The Cabrillo Summer Fair Brought Our Community Together. Here’s What It Looked Like
On Saturday, May 30th, our Cabrillo campus in Santa Clara became exactly what it is always meant to be: a gathering place for the community.
Families from across the neighborhood came through the gates of 2495 Cabrillo Ave. from 10 AM to 12 PM for our Community Summer Fair, and what unfolded was a morning full of connection, curiosity, and joy.
What Our Children Experienced
From the moment the gates opened, children were drawn to the farm animals, touching soft fur and learning through the kind of direct, hands-on experience that sits at the core of our Montessori curriculum. At the arts and crafts tables, little ones created freely, making something uniquely their own. Games kept everyone moving and laughing.
Woven throughout the morning were Montessori activities that gave every child, whether a current student or a first-time visitor, the chance to experience our philosophy in action. These moments are not performances. They are a real look at how children learn when they are trusted to lead their own exploration.
A Community That Showed Up
Local vendors brought energy and connection. Entertainment kept the atmosphere warm and celebratory. And throughout the morning, our teaching team led group tours of the campus, welcoming prospective families into our classrooms and answering the questions families carry when they are thinking carefully about where their child will learn.
Several families told us it was their first time on our campus. Many left with a different understanding of what Montessori education looks like in practice.
