Meet Ms. Sofie, our incredible Lead Guide in the Oak community! She first joined Cantera Montessori in 2022 as an assistant and has since stepped into this leadership role with passion and dedication.
Her Montessori journey began long before her teaching career—she was a Montessori child herself! Inspired by the Guides who shaped her early years, she is now pursuing her AMS (American Montessori Society) Certification, eager to pass on the same enriching experience to her students and their families.
Ms. Sofie finds joy in guiding children as they discover the world, cherishing those magical “Ah-ha!” moments when they master new skills with pride. Before teaching, she studied architecture, a background that now helps her thoughtfully design learning environments that spark curiosity and growth.
Outside the classroom, she enjoys painting, kayaking, pilates, and DIY projects. She loves cozying up in her Hogwarts robe for a Harry Potter movie night with her husband and their beloved cat, Louie.
Ms. Sofie’s greatest passion is helping children thrive, fostering independence, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning. We are so grateful to have her as part of our Cantera Montessori family! 💛
