• SAGE Instructor Spotlight: Milinh Villanueva

With nearly 13 years of experience in Montessori education, Ms. Milinh is a dedicated guide, mentor, and lifelong learner passionate about supporting both children and adults on their Montessori journeys. She holds an AMS Primary Diploma from the Montessori Teacher Education Center and a Master’s in Montessori Education from Sarasota University. Currently, she is furthering her expertise through the AMS Instructor Academy, deepening her understanding of Montessori philosophy and adult learning theory.

Ms. Milinh’s approach to teaching adults is rooted in the same Montessori principles she applies to children—respect, autonomy, and intrinsic motivation. She believes that every learner, regardless of age, brings unique experiences, culture, and perspectives to the learning process. By fostering an inclusive, engaging environment, she empowers adults to take ownership of their growth, ensuring they feel valued and supported.

A firm believer in the Montessori principle of the teacher as a guide, Ms. Milinh prioritizes discussion, thoughtful questioning, and hands-on learning over traditional lecture-based instruction. She finds great joy in witnessing “aha” moments—whether it’s a new teacher gaining confidence in their classroom, a parent feeling more connected to their child’s development, or a lifelong learner deepening their appreciation for Montessori philosophy.

Her philosophy is inspired by Montessori’s vision of the educator as a scientist, servant, and saint—observing with curiosity, guiding with humility, and leading with compassion. She continues to expand her knowledge through reading, collaboration, and reflection, embracing the Montessori ideal that learning is a lifelong journey.

Ms. Milinh’s mission is to inspire and equip adult learners with the knowledge, confidence, and passion to bring Montessori principles to life—whether in the classroom, at home, or in their own personal growth.
