• SAGE Instructor Spotlight: Ms. Jea

With over 10 years of experience in Montessori education, Ms. Jea is a passionate mentor, educator, and lifelong learner committed to supporting both children and adults on their Montessori journey. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and an AMS Primary Montessori certification, equipping her with the knowledge and expertise to guide and inspire educators.

Ms. Jea’s approach to adult education mirrors the same Montessori principles she applies in the classroom—respect for individuality, independence, and self-directed learning. She believes that every educator brings their own unique strengths, experiences, and perspectives, and she strives to create a supportive, empowering environment where they feel valued and encouraged to grow.

A firm believer in the Montessori principle of the teacher as a guide, Ms. Jea prioritizes observation, discussion, and hands-on experiences over traditional lecture-based instruction. She fosters critical thinking, collaboration, and meaningful dialogue, allowing educators to construct their own understanding of Montessori education through exploration and practice. Witnessing those transformative “aha” moments—whether it’s a teacher gaining confidence, a parent feeling more connected to their child, or a lifelong learner deepening their appreciation for Montessori—is what drives her passion for mentorship.

Inspired by Maria Montessori’s vision of the educator as an observer, guide, and lifelong learner, Ms. Jea continues to expand her knowledge through reading, collaboration, and reflection. She embraces the Montessori ideal that learning is an ongoing journey, and she is dedicated to uplifting and supporting others as they grow in their understanding of Montessori philosophy.

Her mission is to equip and inspire educators to bring Montessori principles to life—in their classrooms, in their communities, and in their own personal growth.
